@Bradsco

Congratulations on your new purchase. You will enjoy it and have lots of fun. Dual booting MorphOS & AmigaOS 4 will give you great modern experiences.

CONGRATULATIONS on your NEW SHINY!!!!!

I would get an AmigaOne X5000, but what's holding me (and Amiga) back is cost. :-( :-(

So, I have to take a different route to sate my AMIGA CRAVING.

So happy to hear that you are courageous enough, in 2018, to GRAB FOR THE MOON and get an AmigaOS4.x install up and running!

AOS is the "Last Woman Standing" as far as TRUE computering goes!!!!

Well, wrote a long reply, lost because FOR SOME REASON, I only stay logged in for 5 or 10 minutes!??!?!?!!??? By the time I posted, it logged me out and lost my message.

Today's computers (me using windos 7) are GARBAGE.

Only ONE OS was of any use, and that's AmigaOS.

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.

Enjoy.

I got my x5000 back in October. It's a nice machine. AOS4.1 FE has given me issues i.e. Random lockups, Gurus, etc.

I recently installed MOS 3.10 on a spare drive. It's fast, polished and just works!

Good to know. I've got a couple of machines for MorphOS (Mac mini G4 and a G5 Mac Pro) but you're right that I could probably just let those go and use the x5000 instead. My only concern is having a single compatible GPU with hardware acceleration for both OSes.
AmigaOS - A1200 x 2 • Sam440 Flex • X5000
MorphOS - Mac Mini G4 • Power Mac G5
