I meant the whole Computer Bundle, not just the Motherboard.
Can't you buy/find cases, power supplies, some where on the isle?

Well, you could always install the PCI versions of these cards...
I don't know about the CMI8738 driver, but the driver for the Envy24HT ought to work on either type of card.

And, depending on how the card is designed, the Envy24HT definitely has the potential to provide better quality sound (than the alternatives).

However...Envy24HT cards are rapidly becoming unobtainable (and for some reason Acube has posted an image of a Tremor based card instead).
Also, the CMI8738 is the cheaper and much more commonly available solution.

I'll probably try one of those in the PCI variant.
I got my cmi8738 pci-e card from AmigaKIt! No problems here!

@SACC-guy

Is it a buggy Teron style evaluation board or a £1000+ luxury product? I think a lot of people wanting a £1000 motherboard aren't necessarily the same people that would want to build there own cheap PC bundle. For one thing what if you actually like the custom boing ball case don't own an AmigaOS mouse and keyboard and quite frankly can't be bothered begging AmigaKit to sell them a machine that they should be proud to actual market to the world!

I have had a pair on preorder from AmigaKit since mid January this year.
So maybe their supply dried up.

The  authorized resellers actually assemble their own machines and source their own cases .

It just seems wrong that the X5000 is put together and shipped from the UK but the UK customers are kept in the dark about availability and IMHO suppliers overseas provide a far better idea of when units will be in stock. Yet UK customers are 'supposed' to buy off Amigakit but the stock/availibility isn't even listed on the website. Sad.

Yeah, I know. They seem to be able to inform their customers of limited supply runs despite a lack of Fractal cases and the fact the boards ship from the UK. Why are Amigakit unable to build up a supply of assembled systems? It is probably because its easier to ship out the boards to resellers thereby quicky recouping costs and not having to divert resources to time consuming system building and testing. None of this makes it right for UK customers who miss out due to this strategy.

Who cares?  Are you actually in the market to buy one, or just asking questions to stir the pot?

I doubt that it is a strategy .
It probably based on certain realities.
So there may never be a "standard" X5000 system.
What you buy from one dealer could have a different model case or even someone else purchasing at a later date from the same dealer as you see with Amiga on the Lake.
A "Powered by Cyrus" logo sticker may be what is needs to included with every Cyrus motherboard.

Those of us who can source and assemble our own systems can get on with it. Those who cant will have to wait until the prebuilt systems are available. It is best to try not to focus your frustration on Amigakit without knowing the actual reason.

I am pleased that Amigakit have resellers to shoulder the burden of 'launching' the X5000 but I still think this low key approach to actually marketing the machine is a bit depressing to be honest.

I would need a push to make an investment in one of these machines and Amigakit make it as difficult as possible for me to buy one off the shelf. I've never 'pre-ordered' hardware and when there were no A1200s in stock for Christmas 1995 I bought the Special Reserve Super CD32 bundle with SX-1. A good choice as it happens especially after an upgrade to the SX-32. You can only buy what you are offered and at the moment Amigakit only offer a mobo and even then you have to ask nicely ;-)

Oh come on.  How hard is it to pick up the phone and give them a call to and ask how quickly they can get a system out to you or can they call you back when they're in the position to do so.  There was no online ordering when you got the CD32 system.

If you want to buy an OS4 system then you have to be pretty sure about.  If you have to phone through an order to get a complete system then surely that's not really much of challenge compared to the decision making process.

It's 2017.  You shouldn't *actually* have to talk on the phone to be able to conduct business.

I, too, like being treated well when I'm spending money...

But, we have to "help" our amiga dealers, (which I like to do)
