And the price from the US store with the 4GB of ram has increased by 2.36% from last week because of the exchange rates.

I meant the whole Computer Bundle, not just the Motherboard.

Wouldn't it be easier to just contact and ask direct instead of on a forum, where people may or may not know.

I disagree that would only lead to him getting a one off deal behing closed doors not the unveiling of the complete machine on the website (which is what we want). This isn't a normal sales situation it's a lesson in carefully controlling stock so no oversupply takes place to keep demand and the computer's value high.

Probable hold up in supplying complete systems may be the issue with some sound cards .

Could be, the CMI 8738 based cards do not impress me.
Their operation under OS4 seems a bit flaky.
While they are likely to be supported under MorphOS, I'd rather have a VIA based card.
It makes me wish I had not sold my Envy24HT card.

In any case, what's the point of this thread?
Whole system ARE available.
Do you feel you HAVE to buy one directly from Amigakit?

No doubt they are busy making sure that their distributors have stock.

Both pciex1 versions of CMI8738 and Envy24ht can have a version of a bridge chip that can cause problems.

It just seems wrong that the X5000 is put together and shipped from the UK but the UK customers are kept in the dark about availability and IMHO suppliers overseas provide a far better idea of when units will be in stock. Yet UK customers are 'supposed' to buy off Amigakit but the stock/availibility isn't even listed on the website. Sad.

Well, you could always install the PCI versions of these cards...
I don't know about the CMI8738 driver, but the driver for the Envy24HT ought to work on either type of card.

And, depending on how the card is designed, the Envy24HT definitely has the potential to provide better quality sound (than the alternatives).

However...Envy24HT cards are rapidly becoming unobtainable (and for some reason Acube has posted an image of a Tremor based card instead).
Also, the CMI8738 is the cheaper and much more commonly available solution.

I'll probably try one of those in the PCI variant.
