IBrowse 2.5 finally on its way?

ibrowse may be able to show aw.net, amiga-news.de and aminet, but thats probably about it. sorry to say.

If you set your profile on amiga.org, eab.abime.net and others to use their respective mobile themes, you can use them on iBrowse. I've done it with EAB and nearly sure amiga.org worked that way too.

+1  The previous poster's comment made it sound like it didn't work at all.  I've logged in here and posted several times from my A2000/IBrowse 2.4, so it definitely does work!  (albeit not the most attractive site on that platform, lol)

For amiga.org, Karlos wrote a Proxy that 'translates' amiga.org's output into something IBrowse can use: http://aoproxy.extropia.co.uk/

Yeah this is a great option, and i use since few years ago,  all the time when browse Amiga.org on my Amigas OS3.x.

okay, it might be good for remainig handful amiga sites without css or those few available via a proxy rendering their layout to simple graphics of html2 or so, but it wont be an internet browser any close to be applicable for general usage. which is fine as far as everybody realizes it.

Sites aren't automatically unusable just because a browser doesn't support CSS. Anyone who's used IBrowse 2.4 knows that. Of course, it won't make sites look any better, but that's a different story.
