MiamiSSL is old. Use AmiSSL instead: http://www.heightanxiety.com/AmiSSL/

And read this, too: http://www.ibrowse-dev.net/news.php?id=1455900472

Interesting... is this old or does this mean he is getting back into development for it?

I would say it's old, since it mentions Miami 2.x. The latest available version is 3.2b

Miami was available commercially for a time in the late 90s. AmigaKit probably had some old stock of that version at one point and have since run out.

People always saying about a need of new browser. Chris is porting his OS4 Netsurf to OS3.5/9 and he has got almost zero help from community.

Simple tests like "is you amiga dispalying these images correctly" remains unanswered.

It is beta state, but it requires just 32mb ram to be useable. With Amiga friendly sites like amigaworld.net is not that fast than ibrowse, but more complez sites like this is it almost as fast. Amiga.org loads and displays right about 20 seconds now.

With AGA "cache native versions" from settings, makes page scrolling faster than with old Zorro II/III cards. AGA has serous color problems anyway.

First Lizard, thanks for the link.  My accelerator board only Carries 32 megs,so it won't run Netsurf.
Which I'm sure is the case for a lot of users. So kudos to the gent who ported it to OS3...

Netsurf works nicely and is useable with 32mb ram. I have tested it my 040/060 machines.

Arthur's fork requires more ram and there is separate versions for aga and rtg.

Chris' semi official port uses amiga standard libraries intuition etc. so it is useable more low specced systems and there is only one version for all systems.

Sorry, but your message makes no sense. There's different forks but only one version for all systems, huh? When my machine gets through loading 3.9 I have 29 mgs free and netsurf will not load.

There's Chris's version and Artur's version (two different programmers both working to adapt the application for Amiga). Both have been covered extensively in other threads here (actually there's several other versions as well which are not relevant to this thread).

IMHO Chris's version is the better of the two on real Amiga's and is the only version I could ever get working, personally. Artur's is more suited to high-spec emulated systems (WinUAE). FWIW I could never get it working with less than 64MB, either.

Oh look, here's an old video I made. :p

Sorry, but I noticed that your 0/40 machine is listed as 34 mgs of fast ram, add 2 mgs chip ram and that's 36.
That said where can I download Chris's version to run on my 32 mg system?
Thanks

32mb fast ram + 2mb chip ram makes 34mb ram total.

Dandy's link has a experimental build targeted to 68000 cpu, to solve / debug some possible problems with 68060 cpu. I haven't tested it, so I can't say how well it performs.

Hi All, Okay downloaded Chris's version, seems I was trying to run Arthur's.  Same result.
When I get through loading my system and starting Genesis I have about 30 megs left.
I also have installed the guigfx and render libriaries in my libs directory.  But the same things
happens which is basically nothing.  Will run SnoopDos but I am not a programer so...

It's no fun if you have to strip out every non-essential function of the operating system, can't run with more than 1 tab open, etc.  I guess you could say it runs, but does it run well?  That's not to knock Chris's version at all, I know he's done (and is doing) great work on it, but when folks are splitting hairs over whether it runs with 30MB free, and doesn't run with 29MB free...  LOL.  *sigh* :griping:

In any case, this thread was about Miami.  Anyone else have any questions about that?  :D

Humm - AmiSSLv3.6 is also too old.
I have it installed, but YAM refused to connect to my T-Online account with it.
I had to download YAM v 2.10 dev, which has built-in TLS 1.0 support, to get access to my T-Online account again.

Hi All, I am continuing this thread because I still have no solution for my issue.  Which is
basically I am trying to mount Google Drive on my A1200.  I have communicated with the
developer and he told me that MiamiDX was what was needed to run to get it to mount.  But
I can not install MiamiSSL.  I have gotten the Library file that was needed but I am still getting
the same Error that says I need the Library file.  Has someone succeeded in mounting Google
drive on 3.x systems if so please let me know your setup.  I am running AmiSSL, at least I installed it and it looks like it setup correctly.  How do I make sure it's running?
Appreciate any feed back.

In a thread at amiga-news.de (German only) it is said that you need "miamisslintl.library" to be able to install MiamiSSL.
Apparently this is v1 of the miamisslintl.library. It should be copied to the MiamiSSL drawer, they say.

A later version of this library is said to be downloadable here: "miamisslintl.library V2.21"

I did not know MiamiDX was an requirement for the Google Drive handler.
I have the registered version of Amiga Cloud Handlers and use the DropBox handler. It gets mounted, but up to now I can get no access to my DropBox - but that's another story. I also run the registered version of MiamiDX.
