Hmmm.....
looks like a tight fit for mediator and an accelerator card...
dont think my blizz ppc will fit in there..
if it does fit, its using a shoe horn...

But the case looks really nice.. good to see some new items for the old lady's.
Is it possible to get that sort of backplate for other towers. like an old chieftec case?

Yeah Blake,
That IS nice. Wish I could spare $200, you'd have it ASAP.

Bin?

BIN.  "Buy It Now".  On ebay the BIN goes away as soon as someone places a bid (without taking the BIN price).  But with a low BIN price like this had, someone should've snapped it up!

ha ha - ah great! I wasn't thinking of ebay at all! ;)

I've thought about building a tower but wanted to know if its really worth it?

I have a A1200 (with ACA1233) and a NG (Sam460cr) - both giving me what I want but the child in me as considered doing a tower.

I've read though that they can be a little unstable and you really need to know what you're doing.. obviously getting the additional hardware can be tricky and expensive too...

Can I ask would you bother doing it considering what I have or what is it that it gives that's worth the extra effort?

Thanks in advance!

Well biggest advantage would be to fit a mediator and a graphics card and maybe a network card etc. Also the space allows for more hard drives and a large optical drive (if you have 4xEIDE'99, FastATA etc), there are some accelerators that do not really fit well in a wedge (either because of the cooling or SIMM slots etc), there are a lot more hacks and modifications taht can benefit from a bigger case but these are a few.

So if someone wants to expans their A1200 a lot and add a mediator a tower case is pretty much a must.

Seller here,

I _know_ the board will accept at least one of the PCI busboards, I verified that before purchasing. I believe Mediator is what I checked after. I am not certain though.

Thanks for the interest.
