That's a good idea. Do you know how to start one or know anyone who knows?

I talked to the guy and he got so much demands from Amigans ("add this and that!") and so much critizism for his design choices that he didn't think it was fun to make them anymore. He just wanted to make a cool A500 clone with a ZII in it, but Amigans are Amigans so they pestered him till he lost interest.

Just tell him to take our money because we won't complain.

Amigas start to live with 68040 cpu, anything less is not interesting. With 040 OS is snappy no matter how much you tinker with it. Even Basic OS3.9 is poor with 68030
ACube Sam 440ep Flex 800mhz, 1gb ram and 240gb hd and OS4.1FE
A1200 Micronic tower, OS3.9, Apollo 060 66mhz, xPert Merlin, Delfina Lite and Micronic Scandy, 500Gb hd, 66mb ram, DVD-burner and WLAN.
A1200 desktop, OS3.9, Blizzard 060 66mhz, 66mb ram, Ide Fix Express with 160Gb HD and WLAN
A500 OS2.1, GVP+HD8 with 4mb ram, 1mb chip ram and 4gb HD
Commodore CDTV KS3.1, 1mb chip, 4mb fast ram and IDE HD

I don't think he cares about the money. So I doubt you can persuade him.

The A500 phoenix core is in testing. It will plug into socket.
He actually made it future proof, unlike some other designs.

But there is so much more we need then just speed, hope that includes options to
connect to hdmi, graphics (rtg), memory.

In your opinion.
As the expansion bus Amigas are equipped with is at best an '030 bus, that notion is contestable.
And I was perfectly happy with the 14MHz '020 card I had in my A2000.

As to 3.9, I'd still prefer an enhanced version of 3.1.
3.9 is no longer available (legally).

OK...guess it is.
I don't know why I didn't look there.
The second company, never heard of them.

I need to remember that there is more than Amigakit.

Still, I'm likely to remain with 3.1.

The original "concept" was proven to build an A500 with a Zorro (+5719 chip) slot.  For folks wanting a basic Amiga (original) the opportunities abound on either of the *bays; for the "full fairyland effect," the minimig exists. For a better designed advanced original Amiga (A1200) I'd still check the *bays; but the advanced A1200 clone will go, hands down, to Jens.

For those who believe that, "If wishes and dreams would come true, then I suggest genetically altering pigs so they have wings and could fly." If you can do that, then you can build the Amiga of "dreams and wishes."

p.s., Don't forget to get IRB (Institutional Board Review) approval for the former.

So very sad!! Another promising projects dead at birth.

It’s not dead. It’s just not available to the public.
But it has been very silent from the developer the past years. Until recently when a new revision was presented at a Swedish Demo Party Datastorm.
You can read about it at the Swedish Amiga Community Safir “http://safir.amigaos.se
It’s in the Blog titled “Data Pr0n”, you need to be logged in to see it though.
It looks like the Safir member Shoe is organizing a group order on a few PCB:s right now.
