Hi All,

I have written a new blog post taking a brief look at Amiga MIDI on the MIST FPGA system.

I thought it was just for Atari ST cores, but It works on the Amiga cores too!

I wrote a new blog post this weekend covering the latest Adelaide Retro Computing Group meeting on 14th October, with a BASIC programming theme.

We had plenty of Amiga systems running AMOS Basic programs written for the event, 2 player Amiga serial link up, CD32 running Catacomb 3D and also plenty of other systems too! Lots of photos!

@ epsilon,
On the 4000T backplane, it was supposed to have a L-shaped bracket to hold down the module and video cards in place.

Yeah, I've got one. It isn't the best fit in the world with a card in the bottom slot of the three (?) it covers. Also, if you have any of the slots spare the little cover pieces are an absolute nightmare to fit without them falling out. Once secure it's fine however. You should be able to machine your own version of the bracket.

Great read as always Epsilon, but yeah, get that barrel battery away from all that lovely hardware :)

Got a coin-cell battery in mine.

i would like to mention, that there is my older starfighter port for amiga on aminet. its been a bit slow on my a4k-060/50+voodoo3, but almost playable. i think mostly due to fixed 600x800 resolution, which is too much for a framebuffer this size to be fed via zorro/mediator at 7mb/s for full framerate.

http://aminet.net/game/shoot/Starfighter-1.1-m68k.lha

it would be something for vampire owners to check out, if the game runs at full speed on their systems. it may demand agl.library (storm mesa installation) which, inexperienced as i was probably linked against. (i dont remember well) i could try to recompile that though, if there is any interest.
