Here's the news:

- X5000/20 was to be seen and is available for purchase from September
- X5000/40 is in beta testing in January (in = since, I guess)

What means /20 /40?
Maybe the price 20k and 40k? =)

30th anniversary of amiga and just Jens with real amigas. =(

the X5000/20 is based on a freescale P5020 processor. the X5000/40 is based on the P5040.

I don't think they are maths problems but I'd be curious to see your workings anyway.

There were plenty of real 68k and PPC Amigas at the show and many of them were signed by the end of the event.  One lucky girl even won an A2000 in the raffle.  Congrtats to eveyone who won something, there were some really neat and exlusive prizes to be had.

Not at all, 90% of the show was focussed on "classic" Amigas, as you'd expect with it being a 30 celebration of the original systems.

Pretty much only Trevor/a-eon was talking about os4, the rest of the guests were ex-commodore or developers from back in the 80s/90s.

According to his posts on Facebook, it seems Petro was quite "butthurt" about the lack of attention he received at this show.

The stage was pretty much busy all day with presentations, talks, Q&A's, Music and the ever present raffle which drew most people in and the guys in the tent didn't get so much attention.  I only took a couple of very quick looks around it myself.

I think it could have really done with 2 days to get to see everything properly and chat to everyone you wanted to and room for a couple more presentations.  It would have been good to hear Petro's perspective on the Escom and Gateway eras.

i wonder if he'll attend the one in peterborough. i know the organizers invited him, but not sure if he'll be there. it would indeed have been interesting to hear about the early post-commodore days.

Yes you are right, many real amigas from users in the meeting, but aeon/amigakit are one of the main organizers.

no -- they did not organize the event. they were, however, one of many sponsors.
