Lots of ebay items for sale
« on: June 21, 2014, 03:34:23 AM »
Just thought I'd let you guys know that I am sadly parting with a few of my Classic Amiga items and since I don't have a Classic working Amiga anymore. I have hit a rough time in my life financially and I am trying to pay the mortgage at the moment so thanks in advance if you help me out with these auctions I REALLY appreciate it and I am grateful to you all! That being said my intentions to give back to the Amiga community at some point. Thanks for your consideration! :)

That's a pretty interesting AD516. Is it spray painted? Any idea its history? Just curious! :)

the cyberstorm you are selling, is not a CyberstormPPC. Is a Cyberstorm 060 MKIII

Look at pic 5 on the auction. It does not have a Power PC processor that is true however on the board itself it's called (oddly) a Cyberstorm PPC. Also I say it does not have a Power PC chip in the auction.

I know I bought it from someone on eBay and honestly I just wanted to get the card LOL. I think it was an actual dealer at some point!

CS-MK3 and CS-PPC share the same PCB, only difference is the missing PPC on the MK3 and a different contents of the flash.
AFAIK noone sofar has managed to get a PPC-flash into a MK3 (which would have made it a CS-PPC after soldering in a 604-CPU).
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

All chickenfeed compared to soldering the 604 and the sheer impossibility of getting the PPC logik flashed into the MK3...

Yes if you a have a Micronic Zorro Busboard. Although I've never seen one.

I don't think it's a good idea though.

Ok everyone I put this at the bottom of the description of the ebay item for the Phase 5 CyberStorm: IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: it has been brought to my attention my my fellow Amiga forum friends and members that even though the card SAYS CyberStorm PPC on the card it is ACTUALLY a CyberStorm MKIII more info here: http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/bboah/product.aspx?id=264

I apologize for any confusion!

Sorry to see you having to part with your Classic Amiga goodies. At least we know there is a good second hand market for Amigaware and that it will go to a good home, whoever is the lucky new owner.

Strange that your Phase5 Cyberstorm 060 is labelled as a PPC model on the board itself. I have never seen this before. Anyone else?

Both Cyberstorm PPC and Cyberstorm MK3 have the same PCB, so nothing special there.

Agreed, but he indicated that the printed board name said Cyberstorm PPC. Perhaps the pre-printed circuit board was originally destined for a PPC version and was was used to create the 060 version instead?
