UBoot manuals and SAM460 preparation
« on: February 01, 2014, 06:45:28 PM »
Hi, I am getting ready to set up SAM460ex system using Radeon 4000 HD PCI-E, SATA Card and an SSD for boot and 500GB SATA as data hdd.

Goals are:
+ To prepare a triple boot sys
  AmigaOS 4.1.6+
+ MorphOS once done (for now just partition alone, one or more, FFS or wait for MOS and IceFS)
- Lubuntu 14 with XFCE, LXDE, MATE, KDE, one home one data one swap

Thats all for SSD

How to make shared data partitions (FAT32?) on other HDD.

Which SLB should I use? Panthelope?

Is there any good Uboot guide, with SAM460ex you get no Uboot guides

Bump no ideas on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uboot

Found [[Category:Firmware]]
http://www.denx.de/wiki/publish/U-Bootdoc/U-Bootdoc.pdf
http://www.denx.de/wiki/U-Boot/MiniSummitELCE2014

Also more advanced model exists

Sadly no Uboot manual is supplied with SAM 460ex.

Looks a bit better then CFE, which Steven says will not be updated.

Also, Uboot will be back with X5000 - Cyrus

Why Hyperion and ACube dont go to summit (strangely, UBoot @SAMs is maintained by Acube,
and with X5000-Cyrus and X1000 CFE by Hyperion - who does what anymore?)

I've never bothered installing Linux on my Sam460, but try the guide here. Pay close attention to how you should partition your hard disk.

Step by step manual ... THANKS HANS! You are way better then some Hanses I do know, tell me once you have more products. Me and DJ Nick have 3 Radeon HD drivers so we can spear one.

Linux is badly needed to make use of SAM until MOS comes, so you should be inteterested.
