Transistor level 68k emulation
« on: January 27, 2014, 03:55:14 PM »
Facinating project about emulating the 68k (not quite at the transistor level) at the nano code level. Far more accurate than the Amiga needs (as 95% of Amiga software only needs opcode level accuracy), but might be of interest to FPGA 68k developers and those with an interest in CPU design! :)

-edit- Just noticed that MikeJ has posted in the thread :) circular theory of Emulator design ;)

@bloodline
Interesting read. I think someone wants to make a better Genesis emulator than those software ARM emulated Genesis consoles that were on the market for Christmas. Transistor accurate emulation seems like a lot of trouble to me for a few problem games that might be easier to patch. The fpgaArcade might make some money if it could play the vast majority of Genesis, Neo-Geo, x68000, Atari ST and Amiga games.
