All the best ...........hummm no snow in Bangkok either, in Australia santa wears shorts and drinks a four X to maintain his bowl full of jelly ;-)  :-D

Thanks,

No snow in Bangkok indeed. Hot like hell everyday. But my hometown is in the north that I can be touched a bit by the cold of winter. Get better x'mas mood if I am there. :-)

So how's yours? :-)
:-o Hello, Imation.  You and Coder have been away a while.  Now we know why.  It's sad that you won't be together, but all of us here at Amiga.org wish you both well.

:-) for my own Christmas, I'm going to visit family in Seattle.  I'll spend a few days there, catching up on old times and counting my blessings.

:-D Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Quixote. Maybe it's not that bad. I can get through x'mas alone in Bangkok and after that I go to my family for a New year countdown. ;-)

We are buddhist family but my mom likes having x'mas decoration in the house too. Lovely! :-D

I wish you a merry christmas and happy new year too!!

It's a real bummer we cannot be together at x-mas. But it will be the last time. By the way, the rumour that I am not there because we would go to your parents is not true. :-D

Hehehe, I think I got a clue now why we cannot be together in this x'mas. You, the run away boy!   :-P          :whack:

And then to think I am going to miss that beer party in the beergarden. Now, that makes me really sad.

:-o  :-o  :-o   You won't miss the beergarden here because I know what you are going to do when you are there without me. I know you! ;-)

Hello,

Quote
By the way, God of War in Chinese, I think I have heard it as the name Kuan Au but maybe that's Thai sound.I am not sure. And there is another word that probably has the same sound,Kan Ti ,that is kind of chamberlain or something like that.

There are even more references to the same person like Kuan Ti, Guan Di, Kuan Yuh and Wu Ti. Before he became a god, he was also known as Kuan Yu(h), and lived during Han dynasty I believe.
He teamed up with Lui Pei and Chang Fei as sworn brothers and became a famous warrior. This was a period of the revolt of the Yellow Turbans. The three helped to end the rebellion.
He was captured and executed in 219  ad.
In 1594, he was elevated to godhood by the Ming Emperor Wan Li and was given the title: Ti.

So far this lesson in Chinese Mythology :-)

Hmm.  Lets see, last year I got an eye infection and lost my eyesight for several days and couldn't work so I lost the gig I was working on.  Didn't have any money, had to ware dark eye glasses with the lights off and was in increadible pain.  Didn't have any food on Chritmas so went to the movies because it was the only place I could by something to eat.  The film broke half way through (it was jimmy newtron)  Drove my bike home.  I think it rained.  Got the flue shortly after.  Couldn't pay the rent.  The Gov lost my tax refund.  Been generally down hill since then.  Fealing much better this year anyway.

I feel much better this year.

Right now I think that I've had an overdose of christmas...
I'm at work right now, but I'll have three days off starting tomorrow.

@Imation & Coder
Too bad you can't spend the christmas together.
Hope that it'll be better next year.

Wow.  I don't believe I've ever heard such a sorted array of bad luck stories associated with Christmas.  I sincerely hope this year goes better for you all, and that you are able to find someone to spend the time with.  Although Christmas can be a hell of a lot cheaper, it really sucks if you're all by yourself.

Seasons Blessings to one and all.

Marry Xmas everybody.

I'm going to be visitting my parents couple days, leaving later today..  (it's 1.30 Am at 24th while I'm writing this)

Then spending time to seeing  old friends who have years ago moved out of this area and are now coming their hometown at holidays. So this is great time to see those people who normally live too far away for meets.

And  perhaps with friends  going to see that second part of LOTR movie later this week. I have heard it's quite good.  :-P
