Contrary to common belief, it's also quite 'safe' to switch Kickstart ROMs, the A19, or the _EXRAM option while powered up. 'Safe' in the sense that it won't cause any permanent damage but only crash the system violently.

I took the jumper off my amiga's ntsc/pal jumpers and hardwired in a switch which now allows me to power up in either mode for different programs, just make sure the unit is off when you flip the switch.
