Amiga related forum based websites?
« on: February 03, 2004, 04:39:13 PM »
Amiga.org
Morphzone
Amigaworld.net

What other forum based community sites are there? I don't mean primarily news sites like Ann, or rumor mills like Moo bunny, but forum based sites like this one? I mean at least relatively comptetant with fair amount of traffic.

Moo Bunny is clearly a forum based community site in my eyes, IMO there's more general (and rewarding, if you disregard the recent "Interesting/SecretSanta/whateverhislatestnickis" crapflooding) discussion than rumour-milling there. The juiciest bits tend to surface at ANN first, at least that's my impression.
Amiga-News.de has news with user comments as well as a separate forum, and it's probably one of the most visited sites, even though the English language part might be neglected.

I have to admit I am completely new to this "Moo Bunny" thing and frankly, I'm horrified at the sort of nonsense I find there. It's truely revolting!

maybe i don't "get" the joke, but that place offends me!

I've found nothing better than here and MorphZone.

Agree most of the other sites either don't have the calibre of posters, or are full of rubbish (as Celia says).

Well, there is amiga.dk, but that's mostly of interest for Scandinavians - and only those who read and understand Danish ;)

The MST3K BBoard (now closed) on scifi.com was plagued by someone posting with multiple handles and most recently started using "SecretSanta". I wonder if it's the same loser.
