Yes, if it has all of what you say it has, and it works, then it is worth $3,000 or €2,300 or £2,000.

Don't believe Magnetic, he will just give you the prices HE wants to pay himself.  If you doubt the above estimate, just put it on the market and see.

Just following your previous posts:-)  I'm sorry you got upset, but $3,000 AUD or USD isn't crazy, but it is what those components go for these days.  I agree the 486 GG card is on the $400 side, but the PicassoIV with the modules are rare!  The 060 goes in the $600+ range and Deneb in $200+ arena.  The only thing he lacks is a G-Rex 4000 PCI CARD. Well, and  CSPPC.

the Deneb goes for way more than that and the GG card is still way overpriced.
The point is dont make stupid insulting statements about me. Period.

What is this, Antiques Roadshow?
You're sitting on a gold mine, OK? Whether you sell it as a whole, the Frankenstein 4000 that you've made, or whether you sell the individual parts, either way it is worth a lot, certainly more than most computers from the early '90s.

Like one of the other posters said, it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. And Rabbi my amigan friend, there are people out there that are prepared to pay ridiculous amounts of money for what you have. Price/MHz, Classic Amigas are almost unbeatable.

3) Amiga CD32 + SX1, OS 3.1

If I had more money right now, I'd make you an offer on the Picasso IV. It would go nicely in my A4000T.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

I swapped out my Picasso IV for a Mediator + Radeon 9200 in my main A4T; it is faster and with the Indy AGA MKII, I get DVI-D on my 32" monitor.  The switch is a tiny pain, but sits right next to my keyboard.

Do you need a proof link?
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Amiga-4000-im-Topzustand-kein-Akkuschaden-collectors-edition-Buster-11-2-16MB-/140985642562

Seems you overvalue your A4000
As for me I bought last A4000 @£275

I sold my A4000D for £200 and it was upgraded with the latest Buster etc.

Sakht as rafik!

Nowadays some people spend near 600 usd for a clearly broken horribly leaked 4000 on ebay... nuts i say!:(

Glad i got mine working. So many crooks out there lying !

One guy: "factory sealed a4000 which i got from an estate sale but the seller cut the seal...

On the back of the thing there was so much corrosion i wonder whether ot was lying in the rain for a week and put in plastic foil to corrode...

Then i ask him how does the inside look?

He says: is it a good idea to open the computer seal?

I ask him for a picture showing the seal.... and all of a sudden the auction is gone

Then it shows up again with some more pictures, one from a workbench and a few showed the most horrible battery leak i saw, + an exploded (!) cap.... i ask him does the mouse work? He says he got rid of all monitors.... and cant test it anymore...

Sorry for the "lucky" winner of that auction

I sold my A4000D for $0.00
I sold my A500 for $0.00
I traded my A1000 for a fax machine

I am really surprised at how many ppl demand absolute top dollar for their ancient Amiga hardware that they aren't using.

It didn't use to matter to me what ppl sold their old Amigas for.

But ever since I became in the market for an Amiga to replace my trusty A1200 which is acting all flakey and lost 1 side of its audio channels, I can't find any replacement and if I did it would cost like $4000.00 for a machine I only paid $1000.00 for in 1999/2000.
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
English speech, etc. Total Chaos AGA
