Can you plug a Cyberstorm PPC into Z3 Micronik A1200 busboard ???

If you have got a towered A1200 with Micronik Zorro3 busboard WITH "a CPU Fast slot for fitting A3000/A4000 style accelerators" according to The Big Book, can you then fit a Cyberstorm PPC card or any other 68060 or 68040 card Can I for example remove the 3640/25 mhz card out of my A4000D and plug it into such a tower ?? Without A1200 turboboad of course because otherwise I can not use the slots in Zorro3 mode ...

Yes, it is possible to use a Cyberstom PPC on a Z3 board.

The Zorro 3 is not as fast as a Zorro 3 of an A4000. If you use an Amiga 4000 CPU card. But it is always faster then Zorro2 with an A1200 accelerator card.

Do not use a X-surf, because it is not compatible with this board.

The 3640/25 does not have memory banks, so your speed of your Amiga will not increase very much. You be better off to use a Cyberstorm Card or other like GVP and Apollo.

A friend of mine used a CSMK-III on the micronik Z3 board for the A1200. It was bloody fast once we got some libraries, sysbase, the ssp and vbr into fast mem.

As far as I know, the Zorro3 functionality of the busboard is only enabled if you do use a genuine A4000 accelerator in the processor slot. Without one, the board behaves as Z2 only.

Acill : depends on how much you ask for it ?! I also have got a brandnew Mediator 4000D here, unpacked, straight from Elbox, but I didn't have time yet to install it ... also have got a pci Voodoo4 and pci Voodoo5 (brandnew too) so a CVPPC is not really something I was looking forward to ...

Let's make it complicated now. In my Elbox A1200 T I have got a Z4 busboard and a Blizzard 233/60 PPC card + Bvision. Let's forget about the money issue, would it be faster if I replaced the Z4 by a Z3 busboard and add a Cyberstorm PPC card instead  :-?  Apart from not being able to use DMA on those Z3 slots, would the transfer to the cards be so much faster than Zorro2  :-?
