Which is the Best for a Modern Amiga System?

I love the classics and I used my Amiga 4000 till 2005 when I replaced it with the microAmigaOne.

I once tried encoding an MP3 from WAV file off CD on the Amiga 4000 with 68040/25Mhz. Took me several hours.
I loved watching short clips with the assembler optimized RiVA player, but it was skipping frames.
IBrowse is not opening all the sites I want to visit.

My AmigaOS 4 machine on the other hand even if not very fast is still performing okay with the so called modern tasks described above - Movies, Music (more than MODs listening), Internet.

sorry it wasnt directed at you actually, just have hit replay button. i stand to my choice though. aros enables modern features on my amigas keeping backward compatibility and whom it is not enough can have the same system running on latest hardware. for me it embraces just about what os4 has to offer and still some more.

A1200 - In Pieces (Soon to be working again!)
A600 - R.I.P - Died whilst installing WB2!

AROS PC - AMD 2Ghz (SLOW But FAAST!)

PC - Phenon Triple core server - Just for media!

Oh come on, we yanks know what a wanker is.
After all, you jokers gave us the nickname Yankees in the first place.

Aros is the only way to go for me, unless someone would like to junk their G4, I'd like to try out MorphOS then. :D

Dunno where you're at, but I'd take a look around your local recycle center - mine gets whole palettes of retired G4s, you can get 'em cheap since they're mostly plastic, and they usually still work pretty well.
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/MT-32/D-10, Oberheim Matrix-6, Yamaha DX7/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini, Ensoniq Mirage/SQ-80, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600, Hohner String Performer

@CJ
I'm from Manila, Philippines. Although most of the junks here are discarded PC which is beyond repair, seldom I see a junk G4s or G3 which is probably pounded to the pcb's lead and copper until you dont recognize them at all. :( Wish I could go there and grab one! Sounds like paradise to me! :)
