Well, I tried that jumper, but I will try it again.  If that isn't it, I don't see another jumper on the board.  Thanks very much for the reply.

So, I tried the HD LED on the only unused jumper, which is J1, and no go.  It caused the machine not to boot.  I have searched both sides of the board, and couldn't find anywhere to hook up the LED.  The only other jumper is J2, which is the autoboot enable.  So I still have the LED on the front of my SCSI card reader, so it isn't like I don't have a HD LED.  I put the machine back together, and it works great.  Thanks.

Sorry to hear it didn't work. At least the CF reader has an LED and if you add a CD-ROM drive, that'll have an LED too. I found this post while searching for info on the PAL, it seems your A2000-HC doesn't need an upgrade while the A2000-HC+2 does.
