Please help me identify this accelerator
« on: July 06, 2012, 04:05:26 PM »
Hi there,

I've recently dug my A1200 from my loft where it's been stored away for somewhere near a decade.

It has an accelerator, I know it's a 68030 and has 16MB RAM, but I have no idea of the model, only that it's made by DCE.

I've looked on the big book of Amiga hardware site, but it looks nothing like any of the DCE accelerators on there, please could someone help my to identify it as I'd like to know it's maximum RAM capacity.

Thanks in advance.

And one of the few trapdoor cards with an upward facing CPU. Never understood the rationale behind an '030/50 or Rev 1 '060 facing down against a piece of plastic, with no ventilation. :-/

Thanks for that, it didn't click that the extra simm socket wasn't standard.

I'm going to find me a couple of 32MB simms and max it out I think.
