44-pin IDE to CF adapter question
« on: February 21, 2012, 07:47:37 PM »
Are all these adapters essentially the same, or is there something special to worry about for use with the A600/1200?

My first one didn't pass through the LED signal so CF access didn't register on the 1200 LED. I found one that did work on Amibay and apparently you can solder a wire to the ones that don't pass the signal so that they do. This was too fiddly for me though.

They are mostly the same. I have quite a few adapters from DX..
Since the internal working in CF cards are basically IDE. there is a minimum of electronics onboard cf adapters.
Most issues i have had are with the cf cards itself.
