Mine's better! Doesn't even need a provider!!! Total independence!

The mythical N9!, let us know how you get on with it. I wanted one after my N900 bit the dust (what a machine, I've never seen anything multitask so well since my Amiga), but Nokia decided the N8 was a fitting substitute instead.

...but shouldn't that be a microsoft logo on the bottom? ;P

Edit:Xdelusion, that's what my N8 feels like compared to my old N900. Sniff.

Ah the new Windows Phone Nokia thingy. The one that's supposed to reboot both companies. Looks good as I have been playing with one in germany. However I have just invested in the new BB Curve 9360.

Nope, it's the only Meego phone that will ever be released.  Piru is a lucky guy to have one!

I love it. Okay the user interface requires some getting used to but once you do it's smooth sailing. This thing certainly beats the crap out of N900 that's for sure, except not having the hw keyboard. The touch keyboard works reasonably well, and I usually ssh into the phone anyway.

In all aspects it's way more mature product than N900 ever was. The platform and the included apps are of very high quality. It's a real shame it'll be the last of its kind.

I even did some hacking to allow root access after PR1.1 update:

Also I wrote my own application to update my .mobi domain so that it maps to the phone IP address all the time.

Well, I walked to the local store and left 5 mins later with the phone. ;)

no N9 for us in the UK, so when upgrade time came round my N900 got relegated to be my alarmclock, and i got a lumia 800 in it's place.

then i get the news that there may be a tentative N9 release in the UK with a white body! argh! ha well. may get one off evilbay...

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD
