Which processor do ya have in your Amiga, mrmoonlight?
Hate to say, but my A4000 WarpEngine ('040/40) can play 1 or 2 MP3's, if lucky.. and that's using SongPlayer. AMPlififier takes more CPU power yet. (IMHO)

Hi ,thanks again for your help ,i managed to get the boing bags 1+2 to work and the Amplifire to work pretty good ,not sure how ,just hope it lasts ,best wishes Brian.

Did you try messing with the settings of Amplifier?

As far as I remember, something got updated for Amplifier (paulaaudio.device?)

Hi ,yes i did alter the settings ,but i think the Maxtransfer ,settings did not help ,so i altered them ,and i have a pretty stable Amplifier at the moment ,the only thing i could not get to work was songplayer ,i could not get the player to open ,it was version 1.62 ,and im not quite good enough with the Amiga yet to alter too much ,i did manage to get the cf card hd installed which has speeded up things some what, so all in all really pleased and very grateful to every one ,best wishes Brian:)

brian, weird that can get AMPlifier working, and not SongPlayer.... For what it's worth, SongPlayer 1.60 is more stable for me. Beyond having MUI installed, etc. (a number of different SongPlayer graphics sets on Aminet).
The only other thing, I found that SongPlayer will hang, if the MP3 is damaged... and oddly, even some VBR MP3's can cause this...
I'd also make sure your mpega.library is up-to-date, and you are using the correct version for your processor. I'm also running on an '060 here, so that makes a difference, I'm sure.. *if only I could afford a PPC board....* LOL!

ppc made very little difference for me when playing mp3s. what made difference was the Delfina totally bypassing AHI

Well i found out why i was having so much trouble ,the  4-Device IDE Interface  was playing up ,so i replaced it ,and reinstalled os 3.9 and wonderful ,mp3 that plays using the Amplifier ,excellent ,then i put the Boingbags 1+2 in again ,now i was always told ,if it aint broken dont mend it ,so in they went ,and down went my Amiga , wonderful lol ,there must be some thing on my Amiga that wont run with the Boingbags ,so i started again and reinstalled everything apart from the Boingbags 1+2 ,one day i may be clever enough to know the Amiga and why it wont work with them ,maybe the matrix accelerator ,i dont know  ,all i do know is i love the sound of the Amiga blasting out Beatle songs , and at the moment its sure doing a good job of that ,very best wishes Brian.
