AdRAM and Mini megi
« on: September 28, 2011, 11:47:22 PM »
I just picked an A500 with an AdRAM 540 installed and had a thought about adding a Mini megi also but noticed the AdRAM also stacks a socket on the Gary chip.

My question is, can you add both and get full use of memory from both?

Also, will the double socket on the Gary chip interfere with the shield and/or keyboard?

I have not gotten the AdRam 540 and 2 meg agnus on the A500 working.

I believe the Adram uses the address space that the 2 meg agnus would use in the ranger memory space in the A500 A501 slot.  The max you can get out of it is 1 meg agnus.

If you get real Z2 memory it works and is a lot faster than the slow fast ram that the Adram provides via the A501 slot.
