I think Acube will manufacture the X500+ case that was designed by TheDaddy to house their Sam460 boards, and in turn Hyperion/A-Eon have granted Acube rights to the AmigaOne name and Boing ball, so a new complete system will be launched based on the Sam460 called the AmigaOne X500.

I'll like that was the sound drivers for the Sam460 and a graphic drivers for Ati boards, but it is one X500 or one Sam4xxx with the PPC CPU 500 also it is good.

Whatever it is I hope it ships in 90 days or less, this whole announce something and then delay after delay is getting really old.  It's an Amiga tradition best abandoned while there is at least some community left.

I am happy Acube usually don't do this stuff, but announce when they have something to announce, hence I am rather optimistic for this time. But with announcements like that you are just seeding high expectations. Acube will probably have a hard time to meet these expectations, because I doubt they will show off the X500 tablet convertable laptop with a dual core 2Ghz+ processor tat also houses an fpga which delivers a Natami expansion with OS supporting SMP, MP and transparent legacy compability.

This isn't Amiga Inc so I kind of like to be given a hint that something cool will come and have something to look forward to. It isn't that far off either and depending on the company you'll know if they deliver or not.

Also even if they shouldn't deliver (I'm sure they will) so what? Even if that happened it wouldn't be the end of the world.

ACube has traditionally been pretty good about not writing checks their asses can't cash, if you catch my meaning.

Likely nothing I am interested in, but they are usually not the types to hype the hell out of things and not deliver, even if their products aren't for you.
