Not unless you also have a PCI backplane in the system.

Looks like the X-Surf boards are finally sold out. You'll need to get a network card second-hand, or go the USB->Ethernet route (if you have USB).

check softhut.com for a x-surf he is still in business just slow to fill orders it seems,a friend of mine just ordered from them recently.

I emailed Software Hut to see if they had any X-Surfs and I received a reply this morning that said they had none left.

I did that. It was probably more trouble than it was worth. I think I am the only person that has a home-made internal network card in my A1200 though.

A1200 uses PCMCIA, no need to make one.

A3000 should be able to use a Zorro-II design. Not much worse than a ISA-design.
Not trivial, but not hard either I estimate. What would people be willing to pay for a "new" network card?
