Ebay should really bring back listing fees for idiots like this.

Good point.  Never thought of it that way.  I've been enjoying free listings for a long time, so I'm sure guys like this are, as well.

he's got a printer for sale too: only $4200. I've got 4 of these in the attic. Time to buy a new car!

Naw, that's only $16,800 for the car, and don't you want something like a nice Fiat 124 Spyder?
That would require two more printers. :hammer:

And a liar on top of that:

Well, obviously its the Amiga 1000 that pushes the entire package (with printer) to over $10,000.
Not doubt, IF you offered him his price, he might be willing to test them (or SAY he did). ;-)

Why don't YOU go for it?
I get enough crazy reading posts about Gunnar's projects to take this too seriously.

It's a grand to ship the printer!   Gee, that brings the whole package, including shipping, to > $14,000!

I agree with Oldsmobile Mike; eBay should charge for littering.

Yeah.  Well, it comes down to needing a new car or buying this amazing setup.  Obviously a one-of-a-kind opportunity.  I suppose I just don't love or respect Amiga enough.

*sigh* Time to accept my failure and dump all of mine.  I feel ashamed.  Can you all forgive me?

Look at this nutta!

This 'game' is never going to get played is it? Sad, unless Team17 buy it for their reception to remember the 'fun & edgy' period in their history ;-)

The crazy thing is that if you look at his sold items, someone IS willing to pay his nutcase prices.

If you want to ask a ridiculous price for your item, that's your prerogative. If someone actually pays those prices, does that effectively justify his pricing? We joke and jeer about crazy pricing. Certainly we think they are crazy and would never consider paying them, but obviously some people are willing to pay. Maybe we are the crazy ones :)

I still don't think it's right and I wouldn't participate as either a seller or buyer. Unfortunately it seems as if, at least in some situations, we might be wrong. Do we need any more proof that the world is going to heck in a handbasket?

Not exactly Amiga, but I had a similar model with my 1200. Is there something special to warrant $500 US on a 30 year old monitor?http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEC-MULTISYNC-II-JC-1402HMA-Good-Working-Condition-Monitor-/252869442444?hash=item3ae0317b8c:g:dOAAAOSw7U5Y8nJ~

Dunno about the fool bit. But otherwise Yes. That's the basis of the "western" world. Capitalism.

If someone is willing to pay as much. That is simply "what it is worth". All other views are rendered invalid at the point of transaction. Worth is not a communal thing. It's the view between the seller and the buyer.
"Worth: equivalent in value to the sum or item specified"

@spaceman88. Crazy indeed. But clearly what it's worth.
