Come on down, it's turning into an Amiga warehouse over here.

So to update, one of the 4000T's runs but I haven't been able to check for disk errors or reboots yet because I've got no OS installed.

I think I've still got a SCSI drive specifically for a 4000T somewhere around here if I can find it.

We Texans should set up a place to meet.

Maybe one weekend we could get together at my house and pick through all this stuff before I have to ship it out.  I'd really rather give it out locally.

I'm still going through parts but I've kind of become stuck on the 4000T.

Only been there a couple of times (had to visit some oil rigs up there and took a friend to the LSU Hospital once).  Big city, but those little towns inbetween are "speed-trap hell".  :)

It wasn't so big in the late '70s but they had a lot of cool bridges. Yeah, the little towns were abundant and backwards! I do miss the Bossier City strip! I'm sure that's gone now. Many a wild night going from one strip joint to another - at one time there were over a hundred of them on the strip. :)

I dont mind meeting in San Antonio, I can visit my friend.  I would also like to offer my store, we have a great rec room with a new shiny Tron Pinball,Avatar, Tron Arcade machine, and 2 Mario Pinball machines. and a giant HD projection screen.. like over 120".

It might be nice to plan a regular Texas event 2 - 4 times a year, and help each other out with our Amigas and such.  I certainly dont mind doing some soldering work for any of you all local people to help the effort.

I just took another look at the group ChaosLord setup, 8 Texas members? That is amazing, I did not realize there were so many Texas Amiga enthusists.  We really should all plan a meetup if possible.. and we should invite Darrin as well, since he is in Louisana and only a hop skip and jump away.. besides who would not wanna meet a man with 6 fingers who plays the banjo.. haha

I am ok with helping out in planning a little mini-con that meets a few times a year if desired.

Your place sounds really cool and I could make that trip.

I said my place just for the free stuff.  I've had to make multiple trips to get it and I'm still going back.  It's more than one load even with a truck or SUV.

I can't do it anywhere for about two weeks though, I've got my nephew staying for a while, but when it happens I'll be there.

I love you man :D

But I love your projector more :knuddel:

I have a 61" monitor that everyone thinks is gigantic.  But your projector has it beat by country mile.

Ya know, there is a Vintage Computer Festival coming up in Arlington in early August!  Probably equally inconvenient for all concerned...

http://mit-a.com/VCF2.shtml

I'm planning on attending and exhibiting.  Be nice if we could get a good solid Amiga contingent there.  Maybe even a couple of people doing displays!

Just a thought.
