As for consoles, I play mostly Vectrex, followed by my 3DO..
As for retro, it's been (recently) almost all Amiga, with some Vic-20...

As for PC, I've been toying with OnLive and played (badly) Unreal Tournament and Trine on it recently.
Last game I played through was Prey.
Before that, a lot of Neverwinter Nights.
(Prey and NWN were native Linux versions)

Prey was wicked. I didn't think I'd like it much, but bought it just to support linux. It was awesome though

Battlefield 3 is the exception for me,Microsoft 360 paid for online service (and therefore PS3 game programming too) is limited to max of 24 players online but 64 for PC version.

I consider myself an all around kind of gamer... PC and console, new and retro, board games and pen-n-paper RPG's.  You name it, I probably play something of that style.  About the only kind of gaming I'm not really into is gambling style card games (poker, etc.)

As far as pc, retro and console are considered, I have the following to choose from:

1. PC for more modern stuff (most World of Warcraft and some indie games)
2. Old Dos/Win98se PC with Voodoo3 card in it for retro pc gaming
3. Amiga 1200 w/030 card in it
4. Nintendo Wii
5. Xbox (not the 360)
6. Dreamcast
7. Nintendo DS
8. Commodore 128
9. TI 99/4A
......

PC and Amiga only, if I have time, and that is the problem nowadays, it's work-eat-sleep for most people (not in that order for most people).
Wishlist: A3500, A2500UX

I think I managed to cover the whole spectrum this weekend.

Played Shadowgrounds Survivor and Osmos on the PC (as well as a brief attempt at Nethack)
Hilt and Alien Breed 3D2 on the amiga
Face of Battle (ww2 tabletop miniatures game)
And a tabletop RPG session of Rolemaster 2nd edition :)

Good times.

TEXT ADVENTURES.  No graphics but some of the most engaging games ever made.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

sticking to text only based games since the vic-20.... i would have been bored to death, if i should spend 30 years on text based games only. but more power to ya, i say...

I mostly play 16-bit console games and arcade games, usually through emulation.  I play the occasional PC or modern console game.
I spend a lot of time playing fighting games and puzzle games.

Really?  I find it totally the opposite.  Obviously I have played later graphics based games, and some I really love....but I find that eventually those become boring and repetitive white the text adventures are some of the most mentally stimulating and memorable games I've ever tried (like the Infocom games).
