The only things I run in it are the Steel Panthers remakes, and King of Dragon Pass. Its coming along nicely though

Yeah, it scares me. When it was first introduced all I could think was "this will never work".
And now, sometimes, it does.

I only really use it for games. It works great for 2D stuff. 3D.. it depends. I managed to get Unreal 2 to run but I havent tried it much.

Half the PC games I want to play need DOSBOX rather than WINE  ;)

Hmm, this so much reminds me of the Teron/AmigaOne debate!

(And it's great fun to see certain people, both here and on other sites, that a few years ago advocated certain products because of the Amiga sticker, now using the very same counter arguments they were faced by back then! :) )

2 different tablets but got me thinking. One being this new Amiga version being talked about, the other some Packard Bell. Didnt PB get bought out by Acer who also own all of Gateways old assets including some things Amiga related? IF that was the case, surely there new range of tablets and anything else for that matter could use the Amiga name in any way they choose?

I could be way of the mark though as im still unclear if Amino/Amiga.com/Bill McEwen actualy own everything Amiga related.

Bloody mindfield..

Not me, I bought an A1000 because of it's specification and superiority not the label on the box, I bought the A1200 only because it was the only machine with 1280x512x photo-realistic display.

I have refused to buy quite a few Amigas at the time of launch too. I would have bought the original AmigaONE to run OS4 but even then would not have classed that as a real Amiga (no Paula chip on the motherboard).

All I am saying is if you want an Android tablet with an Amiga logo on it...get that one and print your logo out. Makes no difference to the functionality ;)

Because someone outside of Amiga Inc needs to stand up and show their legal entitlement to various aspects of Amiga IP :)

The IContain deal was penned by the executor of the Kouri Family Trust. This has nothing to do with McEwen.

Ok lets put it another way, If some big company wanted to buy the entire Amiga IP whatever that includes & not just licence the name, Who would they talk to? I would assume Amino but is it all there's to sell ?

It's a Haipad M7

http://www.shenit.com/haipad-m7-dropad-a8-samsung-pv210-1ghz-android-2-2-tablet-capacitive-touch-screen-flash-10-1.html

It can't be, that one is only $225!  Where has the other $75 gone?  Well, $25 has gone to "charity" and the other $50 has possible gone to buying explosives for Bin Laden or something.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Oh no! That's exactly the point! They ARE emulating an Amiga while running 3.X apps.

No they're not. They are emulating a 68k CPU, that's it. They're not emulating anything else (like the custom chips, or AmigaOS).

YES! Now you've got it. And have you used Wine lately?

WINE is not an emulator either, actually the acronym stands for "WINE is not an Emulator".

For the amount of dropping, scratching, bouncing around in the car and being used as a coaster at the bar my $99 Android tablet takes, I couldn't see spending more than $99 on another one.
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever
