My father works in a big company that also has  fotocopiers (don't know if that's the name in english). Some of the old ones have MC68000 series processor on them. The cool thing is that many times when a board is broken they throw it awyay he told me. I already told him to keep an eye on the processors of the boards but the best he's seen so far was an 030.
Maybe there were other now obsolete devices that used it? One could take it to some electronics store and ripp off the processor, I got a friend who's into electronics and he told me he could do it, only problem is I haven't found such a device... :-o

Some Atari users over at the linked site reported 142MIPS! I only get ~40 on my 060/50

also bear in mind that most amiga CPU measuring tools are unable to take advantage of the 060's multiple execution units, so will only run code through one of them. so for non 060 aware CPU tests, the final result is about half what the CPU can really do. i used to get 38-39Mips off my cyberstorm so double that and you get a more representative figure as per motorola's web site

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD

Hi Jose,

Just remember, it is not wise to over-clock a processor. Most processors become unstable and untrustworthy when they are over-clocked. I recommend to anyone needing a faster processor to BUY a faster processor. Processors should only be run at their rated speed.

Hi FlagshipAmigaLover

with all the respect . . . .Amiga without OC (and a half gazzillions of others funny tricks/mods), shouldn't be funny.

The n.1 rule on Amiga is . . . .no absolute rules . . . ever :-)

Ciao

PS- just realized . . .wellcome back D . . .

Hi Red,

ask to Motorola for Samples (10 pcs).

They are not FREE samples obviously :-)

From Motorola site:

-Sample Availability-

"Samples are available under part number XC68060RC50C. Samples will be limited to 10 Per Customer. To order samples, please contact your local Motorola Sales Office."
