I only have the one parent... and I doubt he will be interested in driving another 440 miles to do a spot of christmas shopping when hes a lorry driver during the week doing hundred of miles a day.... :-)

Are there no coaches there cheap but take a long time. Apart from that  you dont have any options unless you can get your parents to drive you there. :-?

surely there are people going through skittyhorpe on the way to bath who can pick ryu up on the way.

Ryu change that map so its shows bath on the map. i cant see it there.

To go by coach I would have to go down on friday, stay over in a hostel friday, saturday and sunday night, to get the coach back on monday... you got any idea how much that would cost me? I am totally brasic all by a few quid ive put by to help pay fuel costs...

If you have to stay a day or so Bath is a beautiful city to visit.

I recommend Sally Lunn's great buns and the fudge shop near the cathederal.

I've just been checking to see if there is another means to get there.

And he's right, the transport in the UK is utter@#£"£$^%&^&*^%*%^ (not good).

National express - usless, unless you want to take a weeks holiday to do it.

Railways - Very expensive, and not likely to get you there on time.

Car hire - usually have to be 21/23+ and have a UK driving licence for 3/5 years.

Planes - you'd have to get to from the airports.

Private Car - the only way. :-(

Unfortunatley I live to far aways to do a round trip to scunny.

Perhaps you could go by train, and if everyone at the show donates £1/2 it would cover your costs? :-?

I dont have a licence, and the guy who does hasnt had one long enough to hire a car... You think I havent tried all the easy options?

How about finding someone who has had a license long enough to rent the car for your friend, and then you both make the drive to Bath.

That person would have to drive obviously, otherwise insurance would not cover them.

Alternately find someone near skittyhorpe who will give you a lift and use a train to get to them?

Failing that All I can suggest, is tapping your left breast and say "One to beam up"... :-(

While it's true the insurance would not cover them, it would make it possible for them to get to Bath. Unless they find a ride, it's the only way I see they can get there. They just have to be careful.
