Making calls is only a minor bit of their function, mostly it's an internet device that provides ready access to the internet, it has tools that work in a pinch, such as a torch, a radio and a calculator.

But yeah, they also make calls...

I've never actually been "into" them in the way some folks are. To me, it's just a device for making calls. The first one I got was so the folks could keep in touch more easily with me when I was at university.

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

Yours might be. Mine's a phone that is portable. It has some basic internet accessibility, a media player and a camera, all secondary (though I do frequently use it for listening to music when out and about).

And new-to-community-user asks, "What the Hell is all this AROS, MorphOS, BAF stuff?  I'm just trying to figure out why this Amiga 1200 I picked up won't work with any of my computer monitors."

I hate talking on the phone, but its handy for IM'ing on the go, keeping track of my email and whatnot.

Also works wonders for coordinating if my wife is giving me a ride from work or not.

I'll give up phone calls a lot sooner than I'll give up amiga's :)

Are You Being Served? is hugely popular in the US. EDIT: It used to be a staple on PBS, our publicly funded (in part) broadcast network

Wait, did you just use "hugely popular" and "PBS" in the same sentence?
:confused::confused::confused:

@Franko

Kinda downplays your country's historical contribution to telephony, doesn't it?

Poor old Alexander Graham Bell must be turning in his grave ;)

AmigaOS4 zealots (aka BAFs)

AROS zealots

MorphOS zealots (aka Smurfs)

I notice there's no cute nickname listed for the AROS zealots.

Might I suggest AROSholes?

(no offense to anyone, seriously, I just couldn't go without posting that.)

The chart was awesome.
