Gold Plated HeatSink?? where?  :-? Isn't that just the chip's "guts"?

Yup, the gold cover comes off if you heat it (it's only held on with a bit of solder).

Under there is the chip. It's not a heat sink, it's simply the cover to the chip cavity.

As far as I can tell, the "Mil-spec" chips are simply early verions of the chip which have to be wired up by hand, later chips can probably be done by machine and sealed in a plastic case in one go.

Does anyone know what happened with DoomMaster's business transaction with tony23?

I know that they got into a big spat on Amigaworld.net, hence where he has fled to, under the pseudonym 'A2000King', I believe.

Doomie played dumb, stating that he 'never received the package' and that they should 'discuss this in private', instead of on a 'forum'.

No, my friend Doris sent it to me. She said it reminded her of me, 'cos I'm a leo and was a sniper in the military. Seems to fit me. I use it as my avatar now for just about everything.  :-D

As stated in the Auction, it's for the one, the ONLY Military Spec'ed, DoomMaster.

@Argo,

I'll take it down, if it bother's you. :roll: Seriously.

Do you really have to switch from Argo to Argo_AFK every 15 minutes on #Amiga.org (j/k, I'm bored), this thread creates the same kind of nuisance as XChat does when stupid new meaningless messages get posted by a bot or some such and I have to keep clicking back to the red blinky tab, to check if anything interesting is happening...

I saw this chip too on E-bay couple days back, I just got worried...

;-) It does seem a little overdone.  How about we leave DoomMaster alone, instead of fanning the flames?

Didn't that all fall apart when everyone started arguing again, over the same old crap?
