Well that suggests the BPPC port is little more than a header on the BPPC's bus... If it were a PCI port the G-Rex would require little logic to bring that out to standard PCI slots :)

I remember asking Ralf Schmit about the port some 13 years ago, and recall him saying it was standard PCI... But I don't know how much he know about the hardware... He could have been referring the whole interface with the BVision...

Well, there is a bit of CPLD glue on the BVision also.

I would suggest that is to interface with the PCI compatible interface in the Permedia2 :)

I don't doubt it. Pity there doesn't seem to be any obvious DMA between the two cards (perhaps there is and I'm just not aware of it). I recall that the GRexx was supposed to be capable of supporting host <-> PCI device DMA.

I doubt there is any, BVision was clearly build on a budget... Speaking of which, do you still have your A1200 setup?

A simple yes would have been sufficient... Ok, then do you want to try getting AROS on your A1200?

Do I take it that at present only AGA native modes are supported? If that is the case, I will be a bit stuck as I currently have no 15kHz capable display devices.

first Bvision the world to have a 250Mhz RamDac and has a vertical refresh rate of 200Hz and there *may possibly* be more to come from it`s PCI bus beyond 43Mhz.

In the old VGR site there were interesting pictures of the prototype used to create CGX Permedia2 drivers and it had a PCI slot with a standard PCI card plugged in. I guess it didn't have much glue logic. There were other pics like a nVidia TNT(2?) driven WB on a G-Rex.

I fail to see how this information assists the OP, but I have to ask, a 200Hz refresh rate is a bit pointless isn't it? On my CRT there's no appreciable improvement of picture quality beyond 85Hz refresh.

I have to echo Karlos here... You are boasting a little too much about the size of your RAMDAC... remember it's not the size, but what you do with it that counts ;)
