Got the new album (in book form) of Trouble over Tokyo today. It's very close to demo scene music and chiptunes in some ways, and it really rocks...

@Franko

Green Day is good stuff, but I can't stand that Billy Joel guy.

@ Tone007

Honestly, Green Day are the only band from this century that I've ever listened to or bought their stuff, I really like them, but the lead singer seems a bit weird to me especially when you see him on a TV interview... :)

(Best to listen to them and not watch the vids...)

Weird videos don't bother me, I'm also a fan of Queen.

I enjoy Queen stuff myself, but this R.E.M. video always seemed a bit weird to me... :)

(can't quite put my finger on why, though...)

Without watching it, I'm going to say the flailing arms.

(I'm also a pretty big R.E.M. fan.)

edit: oh, it is weirder than I remember.  Michael Stipe has hair!

This one's for me auld pal Mick whom myself and his friends & family be saying our last farewells to in a few hours time... :(

He was born in Glasgow of a Scottish mother & Irish father and he lived in Chicago USA for a number of years. Mick was a staunch socialist and Trade Union Leader & a Teamster during his time in the USA. Sadly he never got to see his one final wish come true, the day 99% of scots wait patiently for, when Maggie Thatcher kicks the bucket (they'll be some celebrations in Scotland when that day comes, I can tell you). ;)

In his younger day's Mick was also a bare knuckle boxer, so I reckon this wee tune by The Pogues is a fitting last tribute to a long time friend and great pal. :)
