2500ux Tape Drive
« on: July 04, 2010, 01:32:05 AM »
I have seen pictures of the 2500UX, but I can't seem to find what the tape drive was that it came with. Was it the Archive Viper? Or an internal A3070? Any pictures of what it looked like?

From what I've read, the 3070 is an Archive Viper (in most cases). Never seen a stock 2500UX, so I don't know what it shipped with.

No, the A3070 is most commonly found with Caliper drives (they have the closing front door, while Archive Vipers have an eject lever on the left side)

My A2500UX came with a Wangtek 5150, pictured here:

What does that red button do?
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

The red button was retro fitted, it was connected to the J304 jumper on the A2630 accelerator card: OS: ON - UNIX, OFF - AmigaOS
