Hi, what did you get up to the when you got connected to the internet?
Oh, a bit difficult to remember, it was 15-16 years ago. But I think I visited the Swedish Magazine "Datormagazin" (they specialized solely on Commodore computers back then, C64/C128 and Amiga, they also had a BBS). I had been reading much about Internet in magazine articles, the various protocols and applications, so I tried to explore them myself. I pinged. I fingered. I e-mailed. I FTP'd. I used newsgroups. I made my own first homepage. I also manage to find (through Altavista, I don't think Google even existed back then) some pictures of girls with no clothes on in interesting poses.
In essence; I had been reading so much about the Internet when I connected myself for the first time, that I just had to find out by myself what it was all about, so I think I did everything you could do back then.
WWW wasn't really what it is today, most companies didn't even have a webpage, and many of those few who did presented some logotype and their phone number so you could call them if you had any questions.

A different view of security as well. I mean, "ping", "finger", etc. It was a time of innocence.
