Holy Sh!t! Did that guy actually just say "state of the art technology at a price everyone could afford"???!???? W-T-F!!!!!!

What ever that guy is smoking, I want some, 'cos I've always wanted to try out delusions of grandeur........

I'm really starting to think that Hyperion and Co are under the impression they're the "blue" camp. :roflmao:

The audio is from a 1980's something Amiga video. It's not from this show.

Ugh those boards are unnecessarily big, cases are honkin big. It's funny cause there looks to be large swaths of space between few components on the X 1000. Maybe this is cheaper somehow? And why are the PCI buses so far apart.? Something is just, weird about what's being manufactured here.

That is a really good question. I suppose its good for cooling the PCI cards.

Seriously though. Who wants such a large computer?

If I may play devil's advocate for a second? * If you are speaking about Piru and other MorphOS users / developers, should they not have an opinion and be able to voice it? If no TOS are broken and not mean spirited, what is the harm? Granted some other people go to far and fall into the trolling category, but I see that on both sides.

* I just bought an eMac last week to use MorphOS 2.5, so I expect some to complain I am blue camp biased if history is repeating itself. In the past when I was accused of being a Genesi employee simply because I purchased, with real (not monopoly) money, a Pegasos I April II. Actually that accusation started from employees of a certain company starting in H on the red side. I had a good laugh and that all is history.

I am a fanboy in 2010, but of my 128T only. MorphOS, OS4 and AROS are all 2nd fiddle to the power and majesty of my 128T ;)

Huh? I did not point any fingers or mention any names.
I am talking about comments that are "mean spirited". There are some people who post in such threads to bash or spread fud no matter what.
I really find it weird how it is always the same names that keep posting shit whenever there is a news article or thread about OS4.x or the hardware.

I myself would not mind a MOS system if i could get a hold of a cheap imac/emac either, but that dosent mean i would be a blue troll. There are however clearly more "trolls" on the blue side these days.

And it definitely harms the platform and community when every news item and thread is filled with this crap.

Who is these people?? I guess you dont realize that this video was filmed by one of the amiga fans that visited the show? It is not hyperion/a-eon's fault that someone decided to use the soundtrack from some 80s or early 90s commericial.

And it is still better promotion than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6uh1Q_D_XU

Interesting Natami generated footage, but all that could have been done with a fast Amiga.

I guess I'm going to have to wait to see Native applications on both the X1000 and the Natami before I can really judge either.

Oh, we thought you meant the McBill video for a minute. He could have been just CGI!

You know, until I'm actually allowed to examine the hardware myself, I'm still not going to take videos at face value. Can any of us prove that this stuff isn't being generated by something else.

Remember the history of the Amiga. I don't think the Lorraine team let anyone look closely at their initial prototype hardware either.

That's their form of marketing since year 2000. The people, who are still in the Amiga community are used to them. It only harms the outsiders, that they never look again. So - no chance for expansion.

Here is why we need a modern successful Amiga and new Indy game/software developers.

@Piru

To me it appears alot more profesional than other certain developers that seem to devote way to much of their time trawling through every piece of OS4 related news spreading fud and crap.

You wish to refute any of my points, or just post baseless accusations? If you have anything constructive to say, I'm all ears.

How I spend my spare time is my business. Don't worry, MorphOS is advancing very well and will likely soon support even more affordable Mac hardware.

Go on. I am waiting for the time when there will be a reason to install MorphOS on my PowerBook G4. But to install it, the OS have to be better than MacOS X Tiger, or else, why bother?

A few select companies aside, the gaming industry has approximately 9 ideas between them, and they keep stuffing crap on top of those 9 ideas.

Part of the problem is that a "big" title requires a massive budget with crazy ass 3D graphics, meaning nobody wants to take a chance on it (especially when even a massively acclaimed title will only sell in the 2-300 thousand range due to piracy) and they keep pushing out drivel.

If you want to see original and interesting games.. you are totally correct.. go to the indie game developers.
