Print on demand is pretty much the future of this stuff

I have the first edition and it is a great read for any CBM/Amiga enthusiast.

The first edition is out of print and there is a 2nd edition (with a title change) that is due this summer. You'll want to grab the 2nd edition because it is supposed to include an interview with Jack Tramiel which is extremely rare.

Oh, and I'll let my copy of the 1st edition go for the low price of $4000 if you really want it. :-)

Just kidding. Actually, it isn't for sale because it is signed by Carl Sassenrath who showed up to AmiWest that year. There are only a few of us that have a signed copy.

Does anyone have one they could sell or lend?  Seems to be out of print.  Probably forever.

Wow good luck. My wife bought it for me and I love it. Great read.

I will trade you for my Vic-20 manual signed by Jack Tramiel. ;)
Just kidding, I won't trade that!

There's one available on the swedish auction site Tradera. The leading bid now is about 20€. Don't know if the seller ships outside Sweden though but you could always ask.

(It's not my auction)

Bagnall's book, coupled with The Home Computer Wars by Tomzcyk make for an enjoyable weekend read.

With all the historical revisionism going around these days, it's books like these that hopefully will let the legacy of the early pioneers and innovators live on.

Just thought of something...would be cool if someone does an Apple-ish spoof ad with IBM PC, Mac(intosh) and Amiga models from 1985. Would be fun to script how the Amiga tops the monochrome PC and Mac with its 4,096, 4-channel sound and preemptive multitasking.

Now that's a competitive comparison more than a PC vs Mac ad of today could have.
