BTW.....
Here's the ONLY photo I could find of one:
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/a2024.html
It also explaines quite a bit about the monitor.

Yeah- I want one!  :-)

@MaDDuck

Nice pic, wrong info :-o

The 2024 didn't use long-shinning phosphor but an advaced
flickerfixer to get a stable pic.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@Kronos

Interesting way of doing it, I didnt know that :-)

I didn't get the info from the atati thread, athough I can sure imagine it came up there!

I pulled the resolution info from an old WB2.0 manual I had here (came with my A600).

Given the total size/refresh rate of the screen (say 1024x1008 or whatever) and the limitations of the chipset, the idea that it strangled the bandwidth was purely my own conclusion...

You live and learn, eh?

I'm in Canada, smartypants. "British" ownership of Canada ended recently in the 1800's... ;-)

They aren't "cheap" to ship, but not crazy expensive.
They weigh 12.5Kg or 27lbs (thereabouts).

To 77083 (Texas right?) here are some approximate shipping rates.

(In US dollars)
By Expedited (11 day surface): $34.00
By XpressPost (5-7 business days) : $68.00
By UPS Regular (up to 10 days): $39.00

UPS Requires a bunch of BS forms to be filled out (I'm pretty good at them now though) for "exporting or importing" monitors to the US even though these are from Westchester PA (Commodore USA).

Expedited is the easiest method, it's CanadaPost to USPS.

Maybe I'll put one on eBay just to see if they sell for more than $5. I have NO CLUE what these are worth. I do know that they have an absoloutely excellent display if you'e using them for desktop publishing or music editing. And they work on the rgb port with no extra hardware.
If I have military spec stuff listed on eBay, you can find it here  :-)

Sounds fair!!
you didn't catch the British Saskatchalbertatoba joke???
goto www.deadtrolls.com
It's a Three Dead Trolls in a Baggy song about 4 provinces seceding (sic!) from Canada and formaing a NEW country called "British Saskatchalbertatoba"

I've learned SO much about Canada from them, believe it or not...

VERY funny!
I'll keep my good eye out on e-bay looking for the monitor!

To answer the original topic:

Yes, I own one - but I'm sellling it ;^) .

I recently purchased a pile of old Amiga-hardware in uncertain condition and there were two 2024er. I already sold one system with an 1-MB-A1000 and an A2024. It did work and was quite interesting. A seond system like that will soon hit eBay ;^) .

Have fun,
McTrinsic

Does anyone remember the third-party A2024 replacement, the Viking Moniterm? Or at least I think that was what it was, and what it was called... ;-)
