Jumper Settings for ST34371N 4GB SCSI drive
« on: October 29, 2009, 08:44:44 PM »
I've just picked up a couple of  4GB ST34371N scsi drives for my A3000.  I can set the correct SCSI ID jumper settings but need a help with the J2 jumper settings to make the drives work with the Amiga. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the reference.  I had just found it myself and (mainly through trial and error) I managed to determine the correct jumpers.  Drives now working fine.

Many thanks anyway.

Anybody else had to deal with the Termination settings on these drives? Or do I just need to leave the jumper j2 block empty?

As with all SCSI drives, you need to enable termination for the drive(s) at the end of the bus (cable) and disable it for all others.

You also need at least one device supply termination power to the bus. Usually it doesn't hurt to use several devices, I usually use the terminating drives.
