A1208 SCSI + RAM (Fang): Memory question
« on: September 04, 2009, 12:19:20 AM »
This particular Amiga 1200 SCSI card has two slots that accept 2 sticks of the Special GVP ram.  It takes either 1mb or 4mb sticks.  Do I have to have both slots populated with memory or can I just install a single stick or memory and leave the other slot empty?  I ask this because I only have a single stick of 4mb GVP memory and as expensive as it was, I would hate to have to buy another one.  Thanks.

Just one stick will work. Put it into the first socket and you are ready to go.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Which one is the first slot.  is the one towards the top of the card number one or the one underneath.  Also, is there a particular jumper I have to set?  I tried both slots and It doesn't register in Workbench.  It says "0" for other memory.  It only shows the 2mb of chip ram.

Thanks, I finally figured it out.  The jumper settings were not very clear on how to set this.  I poked around and finally got it working.
