BTW, a FastLane or 4098 or DKB, whatever, probably would have problems too, some of them might be DMA masters. Anyone has a list of cards which are DMA masters, must be a small one...

IIRC Pasha stated that SCSI modules containing the glogic chip could be overclocked, whereas the SCSI modules with the Symbios chip couldn't. I have a Cyber SCSI MKII with glogic chip, and when I tried to overclock, I couldn't get it to start up with even a 60 MHz oscillator. I doubt that you will find someone with a MKII running at 80 MHz with the SCSI module running as well.

Yup, I read that somewhere years ago.... and was disappointed to find that i had the Symbios chip. Tried to google it and find it again, but no luck.
It could perhaps be that it's the glue logic (the other chips on the CyberSCSI) that are the limiting factor, and that they were upgraded some time after phase5 switched from Symbios to Qlogic? Who knows... It works for some, and doesn't for others.

IIRC, the CyberSCSI was slightly faster than the FastLane. But I tested this many, many years ago... But I did end up with running the cs mk2 @ 60 MHz and using the Fastlane.

Thanks a lot for posting that, looks like I'll have to use the 4000T or get an A4091. Shame that it won't work with a Deneb...

Well, in an A4000T with onboard SCSI running you won't get any Zorro III DMA card running.

The problems with several masters on Buster 9 are known, and can be avoided, as seen in FastLane Z3 and DENEB running simultanously.
Unfortunately Commodore messed it up in the A4091 and released the Buster 11 as "hot fix", which works only with one Zorro III master.

@PaSha, mboehmer_e3b, or anyone else that might be knowledgeable about the Phase5 CyberStorm SCSI-II controllers.

I cannot get mine to work and need help setting up one of the 7 used UW320 SCSI drives that are between 36GB to 74Gb is size.  I would like to have one of these relatively large (in Amiga terms) hard drives set up and partitioned on my CyberStorm's SCSI-II controller with a 68pin SCSI CD-ROM drive as the only two devices on the SCSI cable besides the controller, but everything I have tried has not even gotten any of the hard drives recognized as existing, but I can see, but not use or mount the CD-ROM drive, so I have made some progress.

Anyone???  Please help!

Jose reminded me that the original phase 5 'upgrade to 66 MHz' doc also mentions a necessary Flash ROM update.
This may perhaps be required to overclock with the SCSI module?
If, that is, one can find the Flash ROM update files...
