amigakit usually has amiga mice, as well as a PS2 adapter to use more modern mice

The original Commodore ones have their problems, too, tank mouse and the 600/1200 mouse use the same low-quality switches for the buttons, I've had to replace more than a few of these.

The "pregnant" mouse, however, has higher quality "clicky" switches and is the best mouse Commodore made for the Amigas.

I have completely differen experiences. My tank Mouse from 1988 is still great despite the fact I used it ithe most, while the "pregnant" that came with my A3000 had to be fixed.

I also once bought a cheap Beetle-mouse. Maybe the "new" Amiga-mouse is like them: you had to open it and adjust the sensor to make it reliable. All that was required was a little bending to make the light beam parallel. After the fix the mouse was really usable for DPaint & stuff.

You know what is weird for the first time in ages I've set up my real Amiga and the biggest problem I have with it is the mouse, I have the Amiga mouse, the one with little amiga logo and red box as people have already posted and a original commodore mouse both feel pretty bad to control I think I have been spoiled with the lazer mouse I have on my PC, so was thinking if there ever was a optical mouse available for the Amiga.

But I might get this cocoline (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=49&products_id=88) and the boing ball mouse, that will work right? still a bit pricy around £40 for every thing, I know I could get a cheaper mouse, but kind of like the boing ball mouse and support the last great amiga dealer. hem, need to check bank balance...

PS:Completly off topic,  What the best way/cable to hock up an A1200 to a monitor, I'm currently using just the yellow video port and it bad image, However my new monitor is a Dell 24 inch (2408) So I dont know if the monitor is too good for the Amiga, because I never really noticed the image as bad before, the monitor supports, VGA, S-Video, Composite, HDMi, Dvi etc and where can I get it from, cant seem to find anything on amigakit.
