Notepad like software?
« on: July 06, 2009, 08:13:44 PM »
Hi,

I am looking for a notepad like software for my workbench 3.1 installation. So far I found FrexxxEd and JanoEditor however JanoEditor seems only to work with a 68020 processor or higher! :(

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Sim085

Well I was more inclined for something available for free. If there isn't then it is no problem. I can manage to stay without it. I am just looking for software to make a complete installation.

try aminet.
Also, there's a notepad program on workbench 1.3 disk.  It works under 3.1 also.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I'll try them all and see which one I like the most :) I think using the one on Workbench 1.3 may be the best solutions, but I'll still see what the others have to offer :) thanks again.

I bought a cool program called Notebook for the Amiga in the early 1990's. I tried to acquire the source code to it 6 or 7 years ago from Black Belt System but they said it was lost forever. They don't even have it for download on their Amiga archives.

:(

Here's a demo of it you can taste.

EditPad that comes with 3.9 is pretty nice, but honestly I still just use plain old "Ed" for most of my text editing, as well.  Just old fashioned, I guess.  ;)
