assign question
« on: June 21, 2009, 05:37:49 PM »
i copied down Anim2MpegS.lha from aminet and am having trouble with the install.

the instructions are :Installation:-
Copy the appropriate MPImage.library for your processor type to your libs:
assign without the processor extension before using Anim2mpeg.

the first part is pretty clear and i got that done but the second part the assign isn't

what format is the assign statement for MPimage.library supposed to take? where does the assign statement go?

any help appreciated. thanx.

All you have to do is rename mpimage.library. to mpimage.library and copy it to libs:

I interpret that to mean "remove the processor extension from the library's filename, then copy it to libs:"

The libs: assign already exists. You don't need to create it.
Code: [Select]
10  IT\'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
20  FOR C = 1 TO 2
30     DA-NA-NAAAA-NAAAA DA-NA-NA-NA-NAAAA
40     DA-NA-NAAAA-NAAAA DA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NAAAAA
50  NEXT C
60  NA-NA-NAAAA
70  NA-NA NA-NA-NA-NA-NAAAA NAAA-NAAAAAAAAAAA
80  GOTO 10

Badly written documentation :)

You need to think of "libs: assign" as 1 single noun.

"assign" is not a verb in that sentence.
