Very nice design :-)

I like the simplicity of it. It looks very professional. I wish the case for my AmigaOne was this nice instead of my borring PC case.

ARGH!

>>You did just what the Minimig is all about :"Never give up, never surrender!"

I have been talking to Dennis recently, he is pleased too, he made me realise that Minimig and this enclosure make the first completely custom Amiga in 15 years, so I added it to the video. :-)

Talking about the video, I had a hard time, freaking Windows kept freezing, it took me all day!  :-)

I knew it, excellent!

>>Very impressive work on the case- congratulations!

Thank you. I hope I can sell the whole 50 pieces, recover my six months development costs and move onto something new and even more exciting.

Thank you. I wanted something clean and modern, on the lines of the mac mini but even more stylised but with a bit of character. Hopefully I got it right. :-)

Thank you,
 :-)

Actually, this case makes me want a minimig! :-D

Btw. since you are open for designing custome cases, there are always "caseless" systems around that one can design cases for, there is definetly a market for custom cases.

For example, I have a gumstick LCD pack http://www.gumstix.com/images/LCDPAck-assembly.jpg that is sold just like that without case, my plan is to build a micro-laptop, just need to find a suitable USB micro-keyboard and a good casing

Is it just me or shouldn't this become a more serious product?  If its so easy (Not to diminish the efforts made.) To do an FPGA of the old chip sets why not do an AGA chipset with a 68060 core cpu and ppc 603e built in?  Then presto you have a base system that should be a couple hundred bucks and could in theory run OS4 have various cardslot types etc..

Personally I know, all amiga / hyperion wants is royalties.. So if you build it, sell it, pay them your good to go..

Am I wrong guys?
If a motherboard like what I described was available and worked for say 250 per bare board. Plus lets be sick and say 200 in royalties..
Plus 40% Margin.

So 650 ish for a mother board with basic cpu & os seat..

Would we buy it?

Personally next time I feel I have a few bucks to really spare I think Ill get a refurb a1200 and minimig from amigakit.. Just so I have one before its all really gone..

Check out www.natami.net. They're supposed to get their assembled pre production board any day now.
