Amiwest07 update#3
« on: September 21, 2007, 12:37:48 AM »
AMIWEST 2007 DATE HAS CHANGED, BUT ONLY A LITTLE!

Due to a misunderstanding at the hotel, our Saturday was sold to another group.

So we're holding the show on Sunday, October 21, 2007 instead.  The BANQUET will be on Saturday night BEFORE THE SHOW.  That way, everyone who has new things to announce can announce BEFORE the show and exhibit what they have brought on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2007, after their announcements.

OUR DATE IS NOW PAID AND IRREVOCABLY RESERVED!

Part of our ability to do what we have continued to do in presenting a show was in our financial arrangements.  Our contact person left the employ of the hotel without telling us, and our date was made available to another group.  So we have made this ONE-DAY CHANGE so that our foreign visitors would not have to change their flight plans.

SATURDAY NOW AVAILABLE FOR INFORMAL GATHERINGS!

What we have always done after the show on Sunday can now be done on Saturday before the show.  More time will now be available for gathering informally around the hotel.

PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE!

If you have to change your travel plans because of this date change, please accept our apologies.  From now on, we will be sure to have a paid facilities reservation before we announce dates officially.

===============================================================
SO REMEMBER. . .

AmiWest is back and on track for a great 10th show.  Our venue is ready and we're accepting reservations NOW!  Don't miss out!  Bring all your friends.
It's going to be the best AmiWest yet!  We've always come through with a great show and we're set to continue that tradition.  Here's where and how to make your reservations.

Clarion Hotel Cal Expo
2600 Auburn Blvd.

Tell the hotel to tell those other people that there was a misunderstanding and they're going to sell the day back to you guys.

I am going to drive up again this year from the Southern California area, if anyone wants to join me I have a couple of empty seats in my new Dodge Nitro SUV.  They can even play with the Carputer running AmigaForever, or AmiKit during the drive up and back.  Send me a PM if you want to go.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Any chance you could swing by the East Coast to pick me up? :)

About as many as you find at a modestly successful garage sale.

About this many.

Sounds like what McEwen shoulda been thinking when he told everyone he was in talks with Sendo.

Same here, but there may be enough time for me to finish my Zorro III based Transporter Beam card. The driver still uses ARP commands and has some BCPL in it, and everything it transports re-materializes with a red and white checkerboard pattern.

Hey, those are my photos posted at our website!  And no, I don't take pics of crowds.
