Has anybody tried these?
I'm unable to view them as I'm surfing on my AmigaOne... The irony! :-o

@amipal

yes! they looks great! but requires a very fast machine (a Pegasos-MOS with WB or OS35-39 under emulation)

I don't know if a 060 should be enough.

Anyway, a great patch.

Ciao

Seems quite fast enough on my 060.. opening the example drawer only took a few seconds.

@buzz

yes with my 040 also (only opening the example drawer)

But with the patch installed, all the GFX system, slowdown. (try to scroll a window full of GlowIcons).

Definitely, a great patch for a very fast system.

Ciao

Scrolling is a bit slow. as was with ghosty installed. but still useable. And how often do you really scroll wb windows. most of the time you have them snapshotted so things are all in view right ?

well. it wasnt a joke. I can see how it could be, but that drawer is really packed wiht icons. The speed difference between the png's and large standard glowicons isnt that significant.

I was just using MagicWB earlier on my a500. Now that was slow...  :-) (In todays measurements)

I shall be giving this one a spin :-)

I guess the limiting factor on 680x0 RTG based systems would most probably be the gfx bus speed, which I know from my own experiments is not that that hot.

Elena Novaretti is my new best friend...

THANK YOU!

While I would love to see a 2nd image supported it's nice that I can finally use 32bit icons on my workbench and even dopus.  The only thing I would love to see removed is that horrid "shortcut" arrow or an option to take it out.  If I'm missing something in the settings then I'll find it eventually.  Very slick and quite well done.

Works very nicely on my A1200 060 with Mediator and Voodoo 3, didn't notice a slow down at all with the examples drawer, in fact was suprised by how quick they loaded, sure they were faster than an equivalent drawer of large-ish glow icons :-o .

Going to hunt for some PNG icons now...

@Kent

Elena uses ImageFX (see the header of each file), so if you load the PNG icon in it, you should be able to remove the arrow (i'll try me too).

Ciao
